best vacuum under $100
I wanted to share this post with you today because I get questions all the time about cleaning tools especially vacuums! Today, I want to share with you the best vacuum cleaner under $100 because I am super impressed with how it works!

It is such a bummer when you purchase a new vacuum cleaner only to find out a few weeks later it isn’t great!

Even expensive ones like Dyson can be a huge disappointment.

The Best Vacuum Cleaner Under $100

When my husband and I first got married 12 years ago, we didn’t have much money nor did we have anything to clean our house with! We went to Wal-Mart and chose the cheapest vacuum cleaner available. It was $35! And let me tell you what, it lasted us 10 years! It wasn’t the most powerful vacuum, but it worked fine for us.

After getting a dog though, it had trouble keeping up, so it was time to get a new one. I bought another Bissell because our cheap one was the same brand. I got one a little more expensive and supposedly the best for pet hair. Side note, you see Bissell always rated the best cheapest vacuum, which I loved my previous one. However, between the recent one plus getting reports from my friends and family, they have not been the best.

Anyways, this new one sucked! After just a few months a part broke, then one year later, the stand on it broke. It was dangerous! Then, a few months after that, the cleaning hose cracked.

To be honest, it never had much suction power anyways. I did some research online and saw many people said the same thing.

So, a few months ago, it was time to find a new vacuum!

I wanted one that was light weight, good suction, and had an easy to empty container. Our last one was also impossible to get out and reattach the top!

I researched for a few months!

As you know, I am a researcher lol. So, I started reading reviews online and on Amazon to see what the best vacuum would be that was still affordable.

After combing through all brands and models, I chose the Eureka power speed. By the way, THIS IS NOT SPONSORED!! I have to share with you because I really like it.

Let me tell you, I love this thing!

Here is what I love about it:

  • It’s the best vacuum cleaner for carpet
  • It is very light weight
  • The canister is so easy to remove and empty
  • The handle removes to become an extension
  • The filters are simple
  • You can take it apart to deep clean
  • It’s cheap!

It’s the best vacuum cleaner for carpet

I have carpet and tile throughout my home. Carpet isn’t as popular these days, so many expensive vacuums are geared more towards wood or tile floors. In fact, I double checked with some Dyson cordless as well as their traditional ones, most of my family or friends who have these said it wasn’t as great for carpet. This little vacuum works great for my carpet!

It is very light weight.

I can pull this thing around, pick it up over baby gates, and Amelia can even help push it. She LOVES to vacuum. I mean, she gets so excited when I pull it out. I love how light it is!

The canister is so easy to remove and empty!

Out of all the models I checked out, reviewed, and researched, many of them had complaints on the canisters. I didn’t want to take time to unscrew anything. As a mom of a one year old, I need something QUICK! This one, you pop off, press a button, and it empties well. Oh, and the canister is really large, so it holds a lot!

The handle removes to become an extension

Another component I love is the handle extender. You click a button, the handle comes out, then you can attach it to your hose for a simple extension. All you have to do is grab the top of the canister as a handle, then move around as you use hose! So simple!

The filters are simple

The filters are easy to remove and clean! This is a huge plus!

You can take it apart to deep clean

My last one didn’t have an option to unscrew the bottom! The plastic would start to break. For a crazy cleaner like me, I need to be able to complete take apart the device to use clean it. This one allows that!

Last, it is affordable!

The biggest plus to this, is how affordable it is (currently $72 on Amazon). You can’t beat the price plus the great features. If you want to get this for a new couple or someone who has moved into a new house, it would make a great option.

What About Other Brands Like Shark?

Like I said, I combed through review after review on Amazon for many different vacuums in this class. I looked at Shark, Bissell, Dirt Devil, and anything else that popped up. The reviews were best on the Eureka. I chose it for the reviews, but I am impressed with it’s performance too!

Reviews I didn’t Agree With

There were a few reviews I didn’t agree with, so I thought I would bring this up in case you were worried. Someone said it was too noisy…it sounds just like all other cleaners I have used. It it pretty powerful compared to my others though, so it is a little more intense. Another person said the hose was really short…it is short, but the handle extender helps me reach the tops of things. Since it is light, you can pick up the canister too.  One review said it was hard to push on rugs, it wasn’t hard for any of mine!

If you need to get a cheaper vacuum under $100, this is a great option! I highly recommend it!

Other Colors

The powerspeed comes in other colors! You can see those below! My mom has the dark gray color. The other colors are a little higher, but still under $100. I went with the blue which is the color you see in the pictures above.

Good tips, I’m looking for a good vacuum that will last me a while and do a good job. I’ll have to check this one and try it out! I found another post on how to keep vacuums running and not losing power so fast. https://www.deltachem-dry.com/make-your-vacuum-last/

I love my older Shark, best suction still! Bissel has a high pitch that sets off my tinnitus and have had bad luck with broken parts.
Cleaning for others I use a lot of machines – I say Shark for suction!

Shark makes a good product! I have never found one under $100 though. My mom used one for a few years, but it wasn’t as good for her high plush carpets.

If you have allergies or not, you need a vacuum with a “Sealed Hepa Filter”, otherwise dirt escapes. This does not. What’s the point of vacuuming? I’ve done my homework and Miele is the best, around $700 depending on the store. This is only my opinion.

Hi there! Most of my readers don’t want to spend $700 on something, nor can they. I certainly don’t want to either. My mom had severe allergies, she had the same vacuum and loves it. The point of this is to clean up debris 🙂
