Today we are sharing the easiest way to clean a bathroom mirror.

This method will save you so much time too!!

I have been doing this for years, and the other day my husband asked me what I was doing?? I said, cleaning the bathroom mirror!

He finally understood how I keep the mirror so clean!

Now you can too!

Let’s get started!

The Easiest Way to Clean a Bathroom Mirror

I have seen numerous tutorials on pinterest and google about keeping your mirror “fog free” that involves all these items to achieve it.

Instead of trying to get rid of the foggy mirror, use it to your advantage!!!

That’s right! The steamy mirror you get while taking a shower is going to make your life so much better. You know after you clean a mirror, it looks so nice, then not even a few minutes later, someone brushes their teeth. Little specks of toothpaste appear!

I have a little toddler at home, and after she brushes her teeth, it’s like I haven’t cleaned our mirror in weeks!

Now, you don’t have to worry because it will be clean again soon. We are going to go through step by step what you need to do!

For this method you need one ingredient:

  • microfiber cloth

Step One: Get your microfiber cloth ready to go

Before you hop in the shower, grab a microfiber cloth. This is very important! It won’t work with a regular towel, it must be microfiber to work. I use these from Amazon (you don’t need to get anything expensive).

Step Two: Make sure your bathroom area is steamy

The entire reason this method works is the steam. So, take your shower as you normally would, allowing the warm water to steam your mirrors like you see below.

Step Three: Wipe down the mirror with your microfiber cloth and open doors, turn on fan to air everything out.

Now, you simply wipe off the steam with  your microfiber cloth. Make sure doors are open and fan is on to air everything out now. Wipe all the steam from the mirror, and you are left with a clean mirror. All the dust, specks, or grim will be wiped off the mirror with just the warm steam and microfiber.

Alternative Method If Mirror is Really Dirty

If your mirror is super dirty or has really stuck on grim, here is another simple alternative to use.

First, you need to create an easy DIY spray.

Ingredients:

  • 2 cups water
  • 1/2 cup distilled white vinegar
  • Spray Bottle

Directions:

  1. In a spray bottle combine the water and vinegar.
  2. Spray entire mirror with solution. Allow it to sit while you take a shower or bath, whatever makes the most steam.
  3. While mirror is still foggy, wipe surface with a microfiber cloth.

Step One: Mist mirror with the vinegar solution

The only difference in this method is starting with the vinegar solution. Spray the mirror lightly with the vinegar solution. You can see in the photo above I just lightly sprayed the mirror. Let is sit.

Step Two: Take shower like you normally would, then follow exact same directions as first method.

Now, you will follow all the steps exactly the same. Take a shower, allow everything to steam up. When you get out, wipe down the mirror with a microfiber cloth just like the first method. The difference is the vinegar has been sitting on the mirror breaking down any extra dirty substances so you can get it clean.
