What Exactly is a Hydrafacial?

A Hydrafacial is a procedure involving a multi-step process. It deep cleans, exfoliates, and hydrates your skin.

First, they use a wand to clean and exfoliate your skin. They use a peel to also resurface your skin during this step.

Next, a vacuum attachment is put on to suction and extract things from your pores.

During a Hydrafacial, they will also use some red light therapy.

The last step is using a pen like attachment to apply a moisturizing serum.

I call these magical benefits because your skin will look and feel magical when you are done! I was so surprised how nice my skin look immediately after this treatment. Sometimes, your skin can be very red and irritated after a facial, but this one just made my skin look refreshed and glowing.

With the multi-step process of this facial, there are so many great benefits.

Hydration

Amy, the RN who did my facial, told me you can tell when someone has dehydrated skin during this treatment. Their skin soaks up all the water quickly! She told me my skin was very hydrated though probably because I drink a lot of water each day. This treatment will hydrate your skin really well!

This process is also fantastic for deep pore cleaning and blackhead removal. This is something I struggle with on my nose area, and my nose looked so smooth after this!

The exfoliating aspect of this treatment also helps with skin tone. It will even out dullness and dark spots giving your skin a noticeable smoothness in the skin tone!

Reduce Appearance of Fine Lines and Wrinkles

Anytime you work with exfoliating and hydration, you are improving fine lines and wrinkles. This treatment does such deep exfoliation and hydration, it smooths AND plumps wrinkles! I immediately noticed more plumpness in my under eye area and less noticeable lines on my forehead. Those are my two areas that are showing signs of aging.

Is There Any Down Time With This Facial?

Many facials leave your skin so sensitive and red, you can’t do anything for a few days. This facial is more gentle, and I had no irritation afterwards! I just wore some sunscreen for the rest of the day, and the next morning put makeup on as usual.

My skin was so pretty just minutes after this facial, I was able to go run errands!
