This vanilla chai tea frappuccino is better than any coffee house version! Plus, it is much better for you AND dairy-free too! I love making this in the afternoon to keep me going in the day. This is the perfect treat to transition from summer to fall.
Chai tea is one of my favorite fall teas because of all the warm, spicy flavors. It is delicious hot or cold too!
You can check out this list of all my favorite autumn teas here.
You probably notice the trend that I am all about quick and easy recipes, that are also convenient. When I am making my chemist solutions at home, the last thing I want to do is run out for a drink. Creating alternatives at home is the best, don’t you think?
Most of my friends absolutely LOVE chai tea lattes, and I have had many requests to come up with an at home version. So, if you are among those chai tea fans, then this is definitely for you π The beauty of this recipe, is you don’t have to do anything ahead of time and it is one serving! No need to make one of those huge chai tea concentrates.
PIN THISβ
Creamy Vanilla Chai Tea Frappuccino
β₯ 2 chai tea bags (I love This Kind )
β₯8 oz of water
β₯1 cup unsweetened vanilla almond milk (or milk of your choice)
β₯1 tsp vanilla extract (best with this homemade version)
β₯1 tbsp instant vanilla pudding (optional, but really makes the flavor POP!)
β₯1 tbsp vanilla coffee creamer or 1 tbsp vanilla coffee syrup
β₯1 packet of sweetener (if using unsweetened milk, add more if you want, definitely taste to your liking π )
β₯ 2 cups of ice
For the Syrup (optional)
2 tbsp milk
1/2 tsp instant vanilla pudding (might need a little more to make it creamy)
1/4 tsp vanilla extract
Dash of sweetener
Dash of cinnamon
Heat the 8 oz of water to boil, then add the two tea bags. Steep for 5 minutes, then allow to slightly cool. Combine all your ingredients in a blender, blend until creamy and smooth. For the syrup on top, combine all the ingredients, and whisk until smooth. Add more milk or more pudding if it is too thick or not thick enough. Just until you have a syrup consistency. Microwave until warm, then drizzle on top!I enjoyed this in the back yard while Ruger chased butterflies π One of his favorite things to do on a beautiful day!

Oh yum, this is definitely something I would make for the summer. I’m so glad that it doesn’t have corn syrup, and this looks much healthier than the store bought versions!

This looks dreamy! I gave up sugary caffeine drinks almost 4 weeks ago and am trying to make it to 30 days and see where I go from there…. I need to treat them as a treat and not a daily indulgence…. boy does this look good though!
Alexis says
Thanks Joann! I know what you mean…I have to keep away from that stuff. The awesome thing about this is you can make it sugar free and only sweeten with stevia π
