When I decided to officially start this blog, I was overcome with absolute joy and excitement because it was something on the back of my mind for about a year prior.
I had been selling cookies to people for a few years and people would always say what is your secret? How do you bake so good? I thought well I guess I do have some special knowledge that others may not have and I would love to share that with anyone who needs help!
I remember this time last year I was baking away in the kitchen for neighbors, friends, and family with just about every type of chocolate you can think of. I had a friend over and she said OMG chocolate is so good, but it is so bad for you! I defensively said not all chocolate! In fact, some of it is amazing for you! She had no idea!
After many instances of these events, I begin to really see the unique knowledge I had with a background in chemistry, that so many missed out on knowing. I wanted to share awesome recipes, healthy living, inspiration, projects, garden tips that are made possible by my passion, chemistry.
Since I write professionally, why not blog too? So, to share my fun knowledge, inspiration and ideas, Chemistry Cachet was born. It has truly been the most rewarding experience I have had, and I love using chemistry for things I love!
So….
What Is the point of Chemistry Cachet?
Do you love flowers or plants, but don’t have a yard? I specialize in helping people enjoy gardens right on the patio! Or perhaps you have a yard, but are new to it. I have guides, tips and tricks to enjoy your yard easily and for little money.
I learned horticulture during the last few years of college, so I have taken that knowledge, condensed it and share with you the easy ways to do all your gardening!
Do you enjoy DIY projects, but in reality suck? All my DIYs are easy, affordable, and can be done by anyone. I utilize spray paint for almost anything. I am a chemist, after all! Spray paint is the best chemical reaction for projects. I also studied spray paint and did some reports over it, so I have learned some fun tips about it. I believe everyone can enjoy making things at home the easy way!
Are you a baking connoisseur? Or maybe you just enjoy making sweet treats in the kitchen? You are at the right place! I am a cookie baking expert (thank you chemistry ;)), but I also love making all types of sweet treats with a healthier twist. You can check out some of my favorites here. I think dessert should be eaten every day, but it doesn’t have to break the calorie bank! Now, my cookies are the real deal, especially when I sell them to customers. Anytime I share a recipe with you, you can expect some expert chemist tips too. I want to help everyone bake like a pro!
My real love? Coffee! And tea! But coffee first, right! I absolutely love concocting awesome drinks in my laboratory (kitchen) and sharing them with you. In fact, almost every Monday, you can find a new drink to make at home. Some of my favorite places to be are coffee houses, but I don’t always have time, nor do I want to spent a ton of money each day, so I’ve got the perfect solutions to make great things at home. Plus, they are MUCH better for you 😉
P.s – I have a special drink to be featured in my newsletter that will come out this weekend or next week!
What else is Chemistry Cachet about? A healthy lifestyle mentally and physically. I am a Rheumatoid Arthritis fighter. I have had it for almost 20 years, having been diagnosed at 10. It has been a huge impact on my life, but I have learned the best tips for staying in shape, healthy and having a wonderful quality of life, so I share that too. If you have RA or any health issues, you will enjoy these topics.
Other topics on chemistry cachet: Bulldogs (#bulldogmom), marriage (almost 9 years to a former marine turned law enforcement), God’s grace, nature, and inspiration!
On that note…I am officially offering sponsorship options! I have been working on it for awhile and I am so excited to work with others! I will be giving out a discount in my next newsletter coming out soon 🙂 Sign up below for that!
I love each and every reader that has joined me and I am always here for any help or advice you need. Feel free to email me at anytime, for anything 🙂

I love this post, Alexis! It’s great that you’ve been able to narrow your focus in a way that allows you to write about what you love! I like the way you’ve made it so clear too, and I’m looking forward to seeing what kind of drinks you come up with!
