Today we are sharing why 10% VC-IP is more powerful for your skin compared to regular Vitamin C (ascorbic acid). Also, please enjoy 40% off this product for Chemistry Cachet readers only right now, just add product to cart and use code alexisroch when you check out 🙂

Whenever a friend or reader starts using the VC-IP  (short for Ascorbyl Tetraisopalmitate) based vitamin C serum I highly recommend, they are always blown away by the results.

I get emails and comments often that say my skin is SO bright and smooth! Readers ask why does this work so much better than other vitamin C serums I have used?

We are finally sharing the science behind WHY VC-IP is so powerful.

Why 10% VC-IP Is More Powerful For Your Skin Compared To Regular Vitamin C

why 10% VC-IP Is More Powerful Than Regular Vitamin C

VC-IP (Tetrahexyldecyl Ascorbate) is a relatively new vitamin C derivative that has gained popularity in skincare due to its potential advantages over L-ascorbic acid (the most common form of vitamin C).

Just a side note, please head over to our instagram page and give us a follow. Make sure to click on the top right corner and subscribe to notifications so you don’t miss any fantastic science-based tips! I do stories and videos often.

Advantages To Using VC-IP Over Regular Vitamin C Serum

There are several reasons why you see more results using topical VC-IP vitamin C.

Stability:

VC-IP is significantly more stable than L-ascorbic acid. L-ascorbic acid is highly sensitive to heat, light, and air, which can cause it to oxidize and lose its effectiveness.

VC-IP’s stability allows it to maintain its potency for longer periods, making it more reliable for consistent results.

Penetration:

VC-IP is oil-soluble, which means it can penetrate the skin’s oil barrier more effectively than L-ascorbic acid. This deeper penetration allows VC-IP to deliver its antioxidant and collagen-boosting benefits more effectively to the deeper layers of your skin.

Reduced Irritation:

L-ascorbic acid can be irritating for some skin types, especially sensitive skin. If you struggle with skin concerns like eczema, rosacea, or acne, regular vitamin C can aggravative symptoms. VC-IP (use coupon code alexisroch at checkout) is generally considered less irritating than L-ascorbic acid, making it a more suitable option for those with sensitive skin.

VC-IP (Tetrahexyldecyl Ascorbate) offers several potential benefits for your skin:

Now that we have shared the advantages to using 10% VC-IP Vitamin C Serum, let’s look at the benefits it provides to your skin.

Antioxidant Protection:

Vitamin C neutralizes free radicals caused by environmental stressors like UV radiation and pollution. This protects collagen and elastin, which are essential for skin firmness and elasticity.

Brightening:

One of the most popular and talked about advantages of using 10% VC-IP vs regular vitamin C is it may help reduce the appearance of hyperpigmentation (dark spots and age spots) by inhibiting melanin production more successfully.  This can brighten the overall complexion and improve skin tone.

For me personally, I saw way better results using VC-IP for fading scaring and dark spots. Here is a scar on my neck that wasn’t responding to anything until I starred us this VC-IP serum (code alexisroch). I wanted to see how well it worked, so I specifically used it on this burn scar (I burned my neck badly from a curling iron). I snapped a photo of my neck while writing this article, and it is a huge difference!

Collagen Boost:

VC-IP stimulates collagen production, which can help improve skin firmness, reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, and enhance skin elasticity.

Improved Skin Texture:

Using VC-IP regulars can help refine skin texture by promoting cell turnover and reducing the appearance of enlarged pores.

Sun Protection:

VC-IP may provide some level of photo protection against UV damage when used in conjunction with sunscreen.

This One Works Like A Pore Primer

The one I recommend not only works as a high quality 10% VC-IP serum, but it also has a velvet, matte like texture, so it works FANTASTIC under makeup. It reminds me of a pore primer. In the top photo of my hand, you can see the blurring shimmer it provides. It is so soft on your skin.

What Readers Have Said:

This was a top selling product last year, and I loved hearing all your feedback. Here is what some other readers have said about the VC-IP serum:

These are just a few recent ones I loved hearing!

How Much Does It Cost?

I understand the critical importance of cost-effectiveness when it comes to skincare. Years of dedicated research and rigorous testing have driven me to identify the most potent and effective ingredients. While the allure of inexpensive skincare is undeniable, investing in products that fail to deliver desired results represents a true waste of both time and resources.

Moreover, the misguided notion that an extensive skincare regimen translates to superior results is a not true. In fact, excessive product layering can often hinder optimal absorption and even exacerbate skin concerns. My approach prioritizes a minimalist, results-oriented philosophy, ensuring you achieve maximum impact with minimal effort and expenditure.

This is why I recommend the products that I do.

The 10% VC-IP solution is much more concentrated and potent, so it does cost a little more than some regular vitamin C serums. The bottle cost $85, my discount code alexisroch takes off $40 right now which is $34 off bringing the total to $51. This will last you two months or so, that is just $25 a month for a better quality more successful serum.

Remember, you use less of this product compared to watery vitamin c you might have tried before!

So, for around $30 or so per month you can transform your skin.

In Conclusion, This Is Why 10% VC-IP Is More Powerful For Your Skin:

Not only does this form of vitamin c work more successfully, but it is more stable, less irritating for your skin, but it will also save you money in the long run by using less product and enjoying a more stable form of vitamin C.

I have a question about something completely different but couldn’t find a way to send an email with the question.

You are the only person I know of who can for sure answer this! Can you tell me if you know of a spray bottle that will work with a mix of water, sea salt and argon oil? I’ve tried several different bottles and they will spray a few sprays and then nothing. They usually will spray the next day but same thing, a few sprays and then I guess they’re globbed up from the oil. Thanks Alexis!!!

Hi! Thanks for your comment. What is the ratio of oil this mixture? Oil can be difficult to spray, so I would try to find a small spray bottle that won’t pull as much oil out of when you spray it. If the nozzle is large, it might grab too much oil and not have the ability to spray it out. That is why I was curious how much oil is in it because this is probably the issue!

Thanks Alexis! I can’t tell you the exact ratio unfortunately; I didn’t measure it that well! I was sure the oil was the issue as well. I used to buy the product I’m sending a link too but check the price and you’ll see why I won’t buy it now!!! It used to be $8 to $10 per bottle. So in reading reviews someone said they used sea salt and argan oil and it worked great so that’s what I’m doing. I kept the bottle from the last time I ordered this stuff and I’m trying to use it. I think I’ll just measure more carefully and cut down on the oil and see what happens. Thanks for taking the time to answer my question and thanks for all you do!!!

Wow that has gone up!! I can see why you make it now. The argan oil I use from FRE is fairly thin, so I am able to spray it with a small amber spray bottle. If you cut down on the oil and it still won’t work, see if one of those small amber spray bottles will work!

Thanks again! Any particular amber spray bottle? I wonder why the FRE oil is thin?

Their argan is cold-pressed and pure, but I found it is not as thick as some of the other ones I have used. I prefer it because it absorbs much better!

I bought this yesterday after you posted this article! It was very thorough and informative. I got a code in my email yesterday from FRE that was 30% off and used that one, is that the same as your code?

Yay! No, this won’t be the same as my code. Do you know what the code was? Mine will usually be higher than the generic ones
