Thick, Creamy Pumpkin Spice Syrup Recipe For Coffee, Teas, Etc

11.16.15

In the fall, I absolutely LOVE all things pumpkin, which you definitely know by now :) This easy pumpkin spice syrup recipe is good for almost anything this time of year! A nice hot bowl of oatmeal topped with some pumpkin spice syrup is heaven! I also really love making unique drinks at home instead of having to go out for coffee. This time of year you can find me sipping on a delicious healthy pumpkin frappuccino or some wonderful pumpkin maple lattes. I LOVE experimenting in the kitchen with fun treats for everyone to enjoy without having to leave the house or spend a ton of Continue Reading >>

Super cute DIY Marble Tray for less than $5. Pefect for a gift! chemistrycachet.com

I love anything marble especially marble serving trays! They are so chic and make anything look nice. Then, I realized this would make a perfect gift for Christmas! You can make your own marble tray for less than $5 in very little time, it's a win win! Continue Reading >>

6 Lessons Learned From A Bad Situation Last Thanksgiving

11.11.15

In light of Veterans Day, I wanted to share a story with you... Last Thanksgiving started like any other. The day dawned chilly and clear, with the scent of leaves and dew in the air. We loaded up our stuff early in the morning, and drove to my parent's house for the celebrations. My husband always has to work on the holidays, so we had to get there early so he would have time to make it into work by 11am. It was a beautiful 30 minute drive south and just a perfect day in general. Ruger was still a little puppy then, well he was young I should say. He was a large, clumsy 75 lb 9 month Continue Reading >>

Friday Favorites – real life & pretty things

11.6.15

Hello Friday! This whole time change thing has made this week SOOOOO long in my opinion. I am an early riser no matter what, but setting the clocks back mean I am up around 4am. Makes the day so long! Hopefully I adjust soon ;) This week was full of real life stuff & pretty little things. We've had so much rain lately, all of my flowers are blooming again which I love. I cleaned up the yard and flower beds with my checklist, and it is making everything flourish again. We don't get a freeze until way later, so I hope to enjoy pretty blooms for longer :) Continue Reading >>

Where Did You Learn How to Cook?

11.5.15

Learn how to cook

Something I get asked often by people in person and online is where did you learn how to cook and bake? Well, today I am answering that question! In my October newsletter, I had a special section at the bottom telling all my subscribers about a fun new question series, Ask Alexis Anything! By the way, I share some fun stuff in my newsletter that doesn't always make it to the blog, so make sure to sign up below. The next one will be coming out in a week or two! (with a delectable pumpkin spice latte DONUT recipe ;) ) Being a chemist, I get asked some neat scientific questions by readers Continue Reading >>
