The first Friday of fall! I am beyond excited that my favorite season is officially here!
And bonus, I actually had to put on a jacket the other morning for my walk! I have had to do that since probably early April!
This week was full of joyful fall inspiration all around!
One. I always pick up fresh flowers when I got to the grocery store early in the morning. I saw this sweet little rose buds, full of fall color. I also picked up a big bag of little pumpkins because they were so cute! My favorite ones are the white and orange striped!
Two. It is a total pumpkin extravaganza in my kitchen! I posted my crockpot pumpkin maple lattes earlier this week and I have been experimenting up a storm with some other stuff. This picture is of one of my favorite coffee recipes for fall. This will be an exclusive recipe in my newsletter that I am starting in October! Don’t forget to sign up below so you can get it. I will also be posting an exclusive baked pumpkin treat.
Three. I am officially addicted to laying outside on the porch swing to read. Especially with the nicer mornings! I started my fall reading too. I will be sharing a fun reading list for you next week. We also added some more lanterns to the pergola so it looks really neat at night.
Four. This guy is such a sweetheart! He has been attached to my hip this week, every where I go, he INSISTS on going. But how can I say no to that face? Follow is on instagram for more of Ruger! 😉
Five. More fall inspiration around the house. I finally finished decorating. I love this pumpkin for the front door. I decided to go with that instead of a wreath this year 🙂 I will share more on instagram soon, so make sure you follow 🙂
What are your plans for the weekend? If you missed it last week, I am now on facebook for the blog, so I would love if you stopped over to like the page!

I love the pumpkin on your door. I’m currently using the wreath I made last year but thinking I may add something to it. I’m completing the outdoor decorations this weekend!
Alexis says
I’m going to try to finish my outdoor ones too! Have a wonderful weekend!

I wish I had a swing that I could lay out on to read outside….sounds heavenly! Looking forward to your fall reading list. I’m still looking for my wreath hanger to hang my fall wreath that I made last year. Have a great weekend!

Ruger sounds like Starla. She always follows me around like a little shadow. Sometimes I hear a thud against a door I just closed and realized it was her headbutting it so she can follow me.
Alexis says
Aw, isn’t that so cute they do that? Ruger will beat down a door too if I leave him behind lol

Happy Friday Alexis! Ruger is such a cutie… woof to him! I do like your pumpkin door decoration. So glad it’s fall, although the weather didn’t get the memo – still in the mid-80s here. And it gets dark so soon now! I’ve been getting back into reading cozy mysteries… It’s the last weekend of regular baseball (for home games) – end of baseball widowhood for me after this weekend… unless the playoffs… also no more control of the TV remote! Have a great weekend!
Alexis says
Oh man, I wish it was 80s here too. It was high 90s again, but the mornings have been cooler, so I am grateful for that! I love reading cozy mysteries in the fall, they just go hand in hand 🙂 Have a great weekend Laurie!
