Five Snapshots from the Week – The Day Before the 4th of July

Texas Sage on chemistrycachet.comI can’t believe it is already Friday or the fact that it’s The Day Before the 4th of July! Whoo hoo!

Last week was our staycation, so this week was our first week back to normal life. It was tough getting back in the swing of things, but routine is always good. Catch up on Part II here also!

Here are my favorites from the week:

1. The Texas Sage has been bursting with purple blooms all week. We have a few around the house and I am always amazed at how beautiful they are. You can see more on instagram.

Twinkle lights on chemistrycachet.com2. Summer evenings are the best. I love having twinkle lights in the backyard for some great ambiance. I posted this DIY earlier this week. I love these lights! I can’t wait to share more of our backyard with you soon too. We are almost done building our pergola!

Bulldog on chemistrycachet.com3. Every morning I go outside to water my plants, and he just stares at me until I am done! He’s not a huge fan of the mornings 🙂

Ruger the bulldog on chemistrycachet.com4. These were taken exactly one year apart, Ruger has grown about 40+ lbs since the first picture 🙂

July 4th of chemistrycachet.com5. Last, tomorrow is  the 4th! If you need some last minute ideas, check out my patriotic inspiration post from yesterday!

I hope you have a great 4th of July and weekend!

  1. I need to add some twinkle lights in my backyard! That is a beautiful photo of the TX sage! My garden is blooming like crazy right now, I need to go pick a bunch of flowers and put them in a vase pronto!

    1. I need to pick up some too! It is so unusual for us to have such lush garden this time of year, but all that rain we had is making everything look beautiful! Have a great day Carrie!
