Happy Friday! I felt like I just said that…but I guess this week has really flown by!
Last weekend was so cool and rainy, I almost felt like it was October. It was so unusual! We even had rain on Monday too. Sadly, the warm weather is back now and the rest of the week was pretty hot.
Since it’s the last Friday of August, I am okay with that though. Fallish weather will be here before we know it!
This was the view driving home after another rainstorm. Really pretty!
We went to my grandmother’s house over the weekend to spend some time. The weather was beautiful that day too! You probably saw on snapchat (username alexisroch) that one of her cows loves cookies and bananas! She is the sweetest cow! But cookies are her favorite treats 🙂
I shared this on snapchat too and had some questions. My morning drink concoction I love is hot green tea, 1 tsp apple cider vinegar, squeeze of half a lemon, a little bit of cayenne. It really wakes you up and energizes the morning! I actually have this after my coffee because I have to my coffee lol
I spent all day yesterday working on some new blog posts. I have two next week that involve chocolate and I can’t wait to share them! I shared a sneak peak on instagram and snapchat, but they will be up on Monday! Chocolate is still one of my favorite chemicals to work with!
This swallowtail butterfly was so huge and it was flying around our front yard this week. I took so many pictures of it too because it didn’t fly away. It was too busy feeding off the flowers 🙂 So pretty! It was about the size of my palm!

Happy Friday Alexis! This week sure went very slowly for me. And we’re near the end of August – where the heck did the month go?! Will be attending a surprise 50th BD lunch on Sat, then just “putzing” with home stuff. Hope it’s a low key weekend. Enjoy yours!

A cow that likes bananas and cookies, well that isn’t something I have heard of before but what would I know I am a city girl and have only been up close and personal with a cow once in my life way back when I was a child
It is very unusual lol, but cows eat just about anything! They really love sweet things 🙂
Your hot tea concoction sounds so good and I can easily switch it out for coffee since I don’t need a lot of caffeine. The swallowtail butterfly is so beautiful. I don’t think I’ve ever seen one before.
They are so pretty! They get so big and fly really low too. Sometimes I almost think it is a bird!
