This looks beautiful! I love those flowers and always forget about them! I did a big gardening fail and forgot to water my plants during a very hot and humid stretch here in SC where there was no rain… but I was able to bring everything back and lately we have been having evening storms so that helps! I love flowers and want to create a beautiful space with them- love all your tips- so helpful!

Oh I know, those hot humid summers are killer for plants! When we start getting those 100+ days in Texas, my plants really need some extra TLC. Next week I am sharing some summer tips for geraniums. They are much hardier than hibiscus when it comes to heat! Thanks so much Keri! Have a wonderful day!

I love container gardens. Our yard has lots of trees. I move the pots to different areas to catch more morning sun. That works extremely well. I don’t have hibiscus. Maybe one day soon. Great post.

Thanks Lolette! I do the same, move them around to get better areas of sunlight. I don’t have too many trees, but we have two large oak trees that give out a ton of shade in the afternoons! I think you should definitely try a hibiscus, they do well in Texas. Plus they are really pretty 🙂 Have a wonderful day!

    Holly,

Would the hibiscus do well in Northern Florida in the winter? I think I would have to move the pot in when the nights get cool.

    Thanks

Yes, they do fine in the winter! We get very cold winters here too, you just have to bring them inside. I have some winter tips on my five easy tips for hibiscus, but I will do another post closer to the season on that too! Have a great day!

This plant looks amazing. I have a potted hibiscus that I bring inside each winter as well, and it rewards me by gracing our NJ yard with a tropical ambiance each summer.

You shared this hibiscus post at my last Fabulous Friday! I love the color, so beautiful! I remember having a hibiscus and it was given to me by my sister.. It lasted a long time and my cat dug out the roots and it died! I was pretty bummed so I never leave my cats around my plants. Here is a link to my party this week! Hope to see you there! Maria
