Dairy-free Watermelon Milkshake Recipe. This only has a handful of ingredients and is the BEST summer drink you will EVER have!!! Full recipe on chemistrycachet.com

This dairy-free watermelon milkshake recipe is going to be your new favorite summer drink! The minute I took a sip of this, I instantly felt like I was lounging on a tropical beach somewhere.

It’s thick and creamy like a milkshake, but has that unmistakable flavor of watermelon!

I wasn’t going to post this until next week, but after sharing some behind the scenes on snapchat (alexisroch), everyone was asking for it sooner! Since the watermelon is absolutely delicious right now, I wanted to make sure everyone had a chance to make this during the height of the season!

So, here is my new favorite dairy-free watermelon milkshake recipe!

Ingredients
  • 2 cups frozen watermelon, diced
  • 1 cup unsweetened vanilla almond milk
  • 1/2 cup frozen vanilla coconut yogurt
  • 1/8 tsp vanilla extract optional
  • ice
Servings: serving
Instructions
  1. First, cut up your watermelon into chunks, then freeze overnight. Make sure this is ripe, sweet watermelon!
  2. In a good blender, blend the watermelon, coconut yogurt, and almond milk. Blend until smooth. Add in ice for thicker texture if needed. Feel free to add in a tiny dash of vanilla extract for more flavor.
  3. This is one big serving, or two small!
Recipe Notes

**Homemade vanilla extract is the healthy, best way to go on this. You can also use store bought though.

Chemist Tip

I can’t leave you without a chemist tip for this delicious recipe! I mention vanilla extract in this. I make my own following this easy recipe, and it tastes amazing! Extracts are an easy way to add flavor without messing up the consistency of something. A little bit goes a long way in something like this though. You on;y need a small amount to get that vanilla flavor. You can also leave out the extract and add a little vanilla bean paste if you’d like. This drink has so much flavor, you don’t really need it. I just love the flavor of vanilla with watermelon. So delicious!

I always use frozen coconut yogurt, now that my husband cannot have dairy of any kind. We love NadaMoo because it isn’t an overwhelming coconut taste. It also has an amazing texture, just like regular ice cream. I keep this stocked for my husband at all times!

If dairy-free isn’t your thing, you can easily swap out ice cream for the yogurt and regular milk! I haven’t tasted that way, but I am sure it is just as delicious. This recipe is hard to mess up since the watermelon is just so delicious right now!

See that pink milkshake cup? It is the same one I listed on this list of 15 adorable summer kitchen items! I finally got it at target. It is perfect for milkshakes! I also got the matching ice cream bowl to go with it!

Let me know if you make this! I can’t wait to hear how much you enjoy it too!

This recipe sounds so refreshing for this summer heat and I love that there’s no heavy milk or dairy ingredients. So it’s kind of like a smoothie style milkshake.
