It has been awhile since we share a skincare empties post, but I have got one for you today with some great products and some passes. This series is called skincare empties reviewed by a chemist. Repurchase or pass?

I test popular skincare products, products requested by readers, or even products I choose based on ingredients. After using the entire bottle, I add it to my pile of skincare products to save and report back to you by honest thoughts on it.

Over the years of testing products and doing these particular posts, we have saved readers time and money because many brands are more hype than worth. Or sometimes a very affordable product has great results.

Medicube Zero Pore Pads

This is a repurchase for sure. This is a resurfacing pad with 4.5% AHA Lactic Acid & 0.45% BHA Salicylic Acid making it a gentle yet effective chemical exfoliant. I think all skin types can benefit from a pore pad like this. It makes your skin so soft and smooth! I loved the price point on this one.

FRÈ Hydrate Me Overnight Plumping Facial

This uses sea buckthorn oil which is very unique and promotes youthful, plumped, hydrated skin better than most ingredients.

NASSIFMD Deco-Lift Cream

I bought this because it is targeted as a neck cream, this is a popular question from readers. I liked the texture of this cream, and it was very hydrating. But it didn’t do anything with firming or tightening, I don’t think I would repurchase this particular one. I have used several of this brand’s products before and liked them.

Depology Eye Cream

This is my second to purchase! I use it around the crows feet area, and it is definitely a repurchase. The ingredient argireline softens the muscles around the eyes. Similar effect to botox! I recommend using this on the outer areas of your eyes like I mentioned, the crows feet area and below the under eye. It says it can be used for dark circles, but I didn’t see this benefit.

FRÉ Treat Me Full Body Serum

One of my all time favorite products! A full body anti-aging serum that works to firm, hydrate, tighten skin, and even fade dark spots. Readers have loved this product too! My discount code also works for this one: alexisroch at checkout.

GLOW Serum

I love many products from this brand. I bought a smaller container of the GLOW serum to see how it worked. It was a little pricier than what I like. It smelled good and had a gel like texture, but I didn’t see too much of a difference using this. I prefer their watermelon mask!

Clinique Eye Cream

The first time I used this product was in high school over 20 years ago! I have used it off and on over the years because it is very soft and hydrating. It does not seem to help with dark circles though. With that being said, I have repurchase this many times because it doesn’t aggravate the eye eczema I have and it is hydrating. The Ordinary Matrixyl 10% + HA

The Ordinary has great products that have good active ingredients, so I have used many of their products over the years. With that being said, this matrixyl 10% was not my favorite! I didn’t like the texture, and I didn’t see anything from using it. I won’t repurchase this formula.

LUME Acidic Body Wipes

These have become must haves in my car and gym bag! If you are on the run and need to clean up, or you’ve have been sweating, these acidic body wipes are THE BEST! Due to the low pH of these wipes, they remove body odor quickly and keep it away for a long time. They even have deodorant, but I use the wipes all the time now.
