In the fall, I absolutely LOVE all things pumpkin, which you definitely know by now 🙂 This easy pumpkin spice syrup recipe is good for almost anything this time of year!

A nice hot bowl of oatmeal topped with some pumpkin spice syrup is heaven!

I also really love making unique drinks at home instead of having to go out for coffee.

This time of year you can find me sipping on a delicious healthy pumpkin frappuccino or some wonderful pumpkin maple lattes.

I LOVE experimenting in the kitchen with fun treats for everyone to enjoy without having to leave the house or spend a ton of money at the coffeehouse. I mean delicious, easy drinks at home for half the price, not to mention way better for you…it’s a win win!

Today, I thought I would share with you a really great syrup you can add to almost anything. Lately, I have been adding it to pumpkin chai tea and it really boosted the thickness and flavor! I have had questions about this on instagram recently, so I wanted to make sure you had the recipe too!

Creamy Pumpkin Spice Syrup Recipe

The even better part of this is you can make this syrup recipe sugar free too!

Thick, Creamy Pumpkin Spice Syrup Recipe

  • 1/3 cup pumpkin
  • 3/4 cup stevia
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar (or maple syrup)***
  • 1/4 tsp pumpkin spice extract
  • 1/2 tsp maple extract
  • 1 1/2 cup water (use less for thicker syrup)
  • 1 tsp pumpkin pie spice
  • dash salt
  • Optional: Plain Creamer

Directions:

  1. Combine everything except the creamer in a pan, then bring to a boil over medium high heat. Let it boil for a minute, then reduce to a simmer for about 10 minutes. The longer it simmers, the thicker it will be (if you don’t like stevia, please read notes below).
  2. Once you achieve the thickness you like, add to a jar and refrigerate. To make this coffee creamer, add in about 1/2 cup creamer and mix well, then store in refrigerator.
  3. To keep this syrup recipe thick, eliminate the cream and heat up a little hit for use!

Thick, creamy pumpkin spice syrup that is perfect for your coffee, tea, waffles, etc. It is super easy to make and can even be sugar free! chemistrycachet.com

Pumpkin Spice Syrup Sugar Free Options

This recipe is already low in sugar, but you can go totally sugar free. For the sugar free version, eliminate brown sugar or maple syrup and use more stevia or your favorite non calorie sweetener 🙂

You can even use this version as a pumpkin spice creamer!

For Those Who Don’t Like Stevia

This recipe calls for stevia, but if you aren’t a fan of it, just substitute regular granulated sugar. You can also substitute more brown sugar or even coconut sugar.

Additional Chemist Tips for This Recipe

The combinations of extracts are what gives this a great flavor! If you don’t have pumpkin spice extracts, then add in additional pumpkin spice.

The other awesome thing about this syrup recipe is how incredible it smells in the kitchen when you make it! This will keep about two weeks in the fridge as well. You will notice that the water will rise to the top once it sits for awhile (good old chemistry 😉 ), but that is totally normal! Just mix it up and heat it in the microwave for a few seconds, and it will be as good as new.

I actually added a big scoop of this to my smoothie this morning and it was AMAZING!

The possibilities are endless! I hope you can make this soon and enjoy. My November newsletter came out on Friday and thank you to everyone for your support. I had so many people excited about the Pumpkin Spice Latte Donut Recipes inside. Be sure to join us on Instagram for more fun tips.

Have a great day!

What can I use in place of stevia?

You can use any sugar or sugar replacement. It is best to use a solid sugar though, something like maple syrup or corn syrup would make it too runny. I have used all brown sugar instead of stevia and that turns out really good too 🙂
