Growing up in Texas, it was guaranteed we would experience extreme 100 degree weather each summer. This type of heat is dangerous, so hydration was always imperative for an enjoyable season. Summer hydration kits were always part of our activities whether it was going to a track meet, baseball game, or going down to the pasture to fix fences, we always had a cool down kit in tow.
I still make kits like this in the summers for my family, and it makes summer living safe and enjoyable!
The most important part of hydration is water. Water is one of the most important chemicals on earth, especially for the human body. Here’s how to make a perfect summer hydration kit!
Supplies:
Nestlé® Pure Life®
SPF 50 Sunscreen
Bug Spray
Portable Snacks
Tiny Spray Bottles
Hats
Ice Packs
Coolers/Sacks
Directions:
In a small cooler or cooler sack that helps control temperature, add in some ice packs (to keep everything cool).
Gather some portable snacks like tiny apples, raisins, nuts, and protein bars. Make sure it is something that is easily transported.
In your lunch sack, add a few bottles of Nestlé Pure Life and snacks. Next, pack your sunscreen, bug spray, hat, and little spray bottles. These spray bottles are great for cooling off your skin in the heat. Simply add some cool bottled water to the spray bottle and spritz your skin when needed.
Optional: You can add in the non-food items in another sack, then add to your cooler if you’d like to keep them separate.
You can make as many of these kits as needed depending on how many people you have!
