As you probably know by now, Sunday was my birthday! The big 2-9…if you follow me on snapchat (@alexisroch) or instagram, you saw a little bit of my birthday weekend.
It was very low key, but I really enjoyed it! Today is my husband’s 29th birthday too. He is at work, but tomorrow we plan on having a lunch date and seeing a movie.
Anyways, here are my Friday Favorites – Happy Birthday edition!
Saturday, we took a drive to my parents house to have lunch and celebrate mine and my husband’s birthday. It is always like a relaxing getaway when we go to their house. They live in a smaller country town and have land with cows, a lake, and it is always so peaceful.
It was such a beautiful day too! In the 70s, no wind, and sunshine. A complete 180 from last years birthday which was freezing with snow and ice!
My husband and I walked around the land just talking and taking pictures. Then we all went to lunch together. Sunday, my husband took me to my favorite place for breakfast, Denny’s! I love diners, but Denny’s is my favorite 🙂
My husband had the funniest/cutest card sitting out for me on Sunday morning…Well, it was from Ruger too 🙂 He traced Ruger’s paw on the card which was very difficult as you can see lol! 🙂
He also got me a blackberry bush with some bluebonnet and pumpkin seeds which I can’t wait to plant!
We ended the day with a long walk around the neighborhood and spent some time swinging on the porch swing. It is always nice to enjoy a warm birthday when you are born in February! Although it has been chillier this week, it looks like my hubby’s birthday weekend will be nice too!
